Bubble Burst: The Truth About the Dairy Farm: Beginning of Chapter 3 Explained

Well, I'm finally on to chapter 3.

Jael starts off talking about how she hates mornings.  But I don't think it is actually mornings that she hates.  I think she just dreads waking up every morning in a society the revolves around selfish behavior.  A society where children are only taught to find self-esteem in success.  Because Jael doesn't conform she is considered a failure.

The great pediatrician Dr. Spock gave the following advice early in his famous book.  His advice was to help children find meaning in life by teaching them the importance of being good people who's goal is to make the world a better place and to take pride in helping others.  Sadly, this advice which he found so important and so central is often ignored for the advice deemed more "practical".

So in conclusion Jael, just lives in an awful society.  Unfortunately, this is probably a society that too many can relate to.  I think a large problem in society is that people are only taught to find purpose in superficial things.  Take those superficial things away and their whole self-esteem crumbles.  For example, instead of obsessing over a kids ability in a school subject or sport, obsess over times when the kid helps another person, animal, or the environment.
